Jonathan Brewer (@HouseofBrew) or perhaps better known as "Brew" is Director of Awesome at BTC Revolutions. If you're an avid Why I Social listener you may recognize his name as he made a brief appearance on this year's Community Manager Appreciation Day edition of the podcast. That's because Brew is a core member #CMGRHangout which takes place every Friday.
Brew's journey is certainly a unique one and he offers a unique perspective on the changes (or lack there of?) that have taken place in the internet and technology industry. Take the journey this week as I converse with Johnathan on this and more.

Tracy Soren and Jessie Jolles (@SorenandJolles) are a comdy duo currently living in New York City. Their story together begins at a Upright Citizens Brigade improv class and has grown into a friendship which has been compared to that of Broad Street.
Their web series, Dibs, about the importance of friendship during life's little moments. They've also been described as NYC's Top 10 Up-And-Coming Comedians and 10 Rising Improv Stars That Deserve Their Own TV Show.
Naturally, I was also excited to learn they recently launched a podcast as well.

Allison Matherly (@allisonmatherly) is Coordinator of Digital Engagement at Texas Tech University. She's also a graduate of the same university and currently pursuing her Master's of Arts.
I first had the opportunity to meet Allison at eduWeb Digital Summit and was impressed by the drive and passion she brings to her job every single day. Her journey from student to intern to employee is one that is worth listening to.

Andrew Seaman (@AndrewmSeaman) is Senior Medical Journalist at Thomson Reuters. You may have seen his articles in other papers such as USA Today and Politico. In addition to his work at Thomson Reuters - Andrew is also Ethics Committee Chair for the Society of Professional Journalists.
This episode is also unique in the fact that I've had the absolute pleasure of being a part of Andrew's journey - from our days at Best Buy - to Wilkes University where I worked and he attended school. It's been tremendous to see his journey and an even bigger joy to discuss it on Why I Social.

Noelle Seybert (@NoelleSeybert) is Social Media Manager at Pepperdine University (@Pepperdine). She has been working in higher education for more than four years and has been in the marketing industry since 2009. Seybert is also in the process of completing her Doctorate in Business Administration (with an estimated completion in 2018).
I crossed paths with Seybert at Kurogo's Mobile Conference (hosted at CSUN). She was (as far as I know) the only other person there who's full-time work consisted of both mobile and social media. She caught my attention as she actively shared her feedback and notes on the #Kurogo2016 hashtag that conference was using.
And thus, the Kurogo Mobile Conference 2016 edition of Why I Social was born!

Frankie Greek (@FrankieGreek) is Social Media Manager at Fuse Media and Social Media Coordinator for the Shorty Awards. Her background in television and radio have also helped her establish the skill sets required to succeed in both Snapchat and live-streaming.
My actual introduction to her came when I learned she would be running the Snapchat account (which she launched, by the way) for the Times Square Ball. This episode is a long-time coming and it was joy to learn about how Frankie went from Penn State Grad to where she is today.
This week's episode also features questions from Chris Strub and Patrick Jervis-Stone

Welcome to the first edition of Why I Social Sessions - which will bring you short discussions focused on one-singular topic. This is not your standard Why I Social episode where we learn about a guest - but instead - we focus on important topics impacting the social media space today.
Today, on Why I Social Sessions, guest (and Why I Social alum) Lucy Rendler-Kaplan and I discuss changes happening on Twitter with a focus on #Twitter10k and the misinformation being spread regarding Twitter's big change.
On Episode 1
1. Twitter changes - are they good or bad?
2. How/what misinformation is being spread about #Twitter10k
3. How will changes to Twitter impact NEW users of the platform?
Following the conversation:
I'd encourage you to use the hashtag #WISSessions to share your thoughts.

Community Manager Appreciation Day (#CMAD) is a 24 hour, live event taking place on Google Hangouts featuring panels focused on, you guessed it, community management. In 2015, the Why I Social podcast produced the first annual Why I Social #CMAD episode.
In 2016, the conversations with Community Managers are split up throughout the week. To kick-start this year's series, I chatted with the team behind this year's #CMAD.

Carrie Kerpen is the CEO of Likeable Media and the host of the All The Social Ladies Podcast. Her podcast has included guests ranging from author Ann Handley to Carmen Shirkey Collins (of Cisco) and features some of the most influential women in business today. It's safe to say it's a can't miss podcast (lady or gentleman!).
It's worth noting that her spouse, Dave Kerpen of Likeable Local, was a previous guest on the show. One of the coolest things about this podcast is hearing Carrie discuss some of the same things Dave and I discussed in order to hear both perspectives of the Kerpen family.
